Collected Information

We require people who register to use the services offered on our site to give us contact information. We ask for information such as their name, company name, position, address, phone number, e-mail address, and financial and billing information – such as billing name and address, credit card number, and the number of users in an organization that will use the services. To offer better service, we may also ask for additional information. Additional information may include job description, department name, fax number, or additional company information – such as industry, number of entities in your company, or annual revenues. Users can opt out of providing additional information by not entering it when asked.

Tax Technologies uses the information we collect to set up services for individuals and their organizations. Because we are also providing tax filing related services, we may use the information to authenticate the person as a valid representative of the organization. We may also use the information to contact users and prospects to further discuss their interest in our services, and send information complementary to our services.

We do not distribute or share customer e-mail addresses. We use e-mail communication to contact users about software updates, critical events, and complementary offerings. We may also elect to send a Customer Newsletter. Customers can opt out of being contacted by us, or receiving further information from us, at any time by sending e-mail to support@taxtechnologies.com.

Except as we explicitly state at the time we request information, or as provided in our terms of service, we do not disclose to any third party information provided. All financial and billing information that we collect through the site is used solely to bill for services. This billing information is not used by Tax Technologies for marketing or promotional purposes.

Tax Technologies, Inc. uses a third party intermediary to manage the credit card processing. This intermediary is not permitted to store, retain, or use the information provided, except for the sole purpose of credit card processing.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their user registration and passwords.

Customers of the service use the site to host data and information.

Tax Technologies, Inc. will not review, share, distribute, or reference any such data except as provided in our terms of service, or as may be required by law. We will only view or access application information to determine appropriate billing levels and ensure efficient performance of the software. We may also track and analyze non-identifying and aggregate usage and volume statistical information and provide such information to third parties. Other exceptions are only made when required by law.

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our servers, administer our web site, and gather broad demographic information.

Cookies

Cookies are files web browsers place on a computer’s hard drive. We use cookies to help us authenticate users and provide time saving shortcuts and user preferences. If selected by the user, our system will save authentication information in a cookie and skip future login requests.
